This month is balancing work & home life. I cannot wait to read everyone's tips on this one...I am always looking for tips to keeping life running smoothly!
Here are a few things I do.....
Take full advantage of early mornings. I am a very early riser and take full advantage of that quiet time. I usually pop in a load of laundry and then grab some coffee and get to work. I have a job that involves some office time and the rest travel, so I like to get my office work done early while the house is quiet.
Meal Planning and meal prep. This has been life changing...no more worries about "what's for dinner?". I plan it out and take an hour on Sunday to prep and it makes the dinner hour and lunch packing so much easier. You can check out some of my meal planning tips here. I say "no". To some extra curricular things, parties, etc. Having some free weekends, evenings and a loose schedule is important to me. I like being able to take the kids to do something fun and on a whim. I am not one to be in a car driving them everywhere....everynight...or every weekend. Now don't get me wrong, my kids are involved in lots of stuff.....dance, baseball, religion, chorus, orchestra. But I take a look at what they want to do/play and really try to hard to schedule it when it works for us a family. I try to avoid any scheduling during the dinner hour, because family meal time is important to us.
Weekends are for a little work and lots of play. I do usually keep my early wakeups on the weekends and that is my blogging time. Again...with some coffee and a quiet house I can really knock out some work! If I am caught up on blogging, I take that time to read. Starting my day with a little quiet time is my favorite!
